Text: Isaiah 6:5

 

Why are we not motivated to LIVE SENT?  What is it that is holding us back from lives sold out for the Lord and for his work?  For many in our churches today, I fear it is because we have never had a genuine encounter with the Lord.  No one would believe that I had been in a 35mph bicycle crash unless I had the scars to prove it.  Yet many in our churches are walking around claiming to have encountered the Lord and yet there is no evidence in their life.  Isaiah’s response to his vision of the Lord presents us with 3 marks of a genuine encounter with the Lord.  Do these present themselves in your life?  If not, then I wouldn’t be shocked if you are unmotivated to LIVE SENT, because you cannot give what you do not have.
