There is great reward in a relationship with the Lord.
The Psalms stand out from any other book of the Bible in one primary sense: they are the Spirit inspired words of men to God. So, in a profound and unique way the Psalm connect the reader to the Lord in intensely personal ways. The foundational principle of the Psalm is that the reader, singer, worshiper has a relationship with the Lord. There is no place where this is clearer than in the first Psalm. The person who is blessed is the person who lives in a relationship of righteousness with the Lord.
