PRAYER GUIDE

Jeremiah 29:7 (ESV) But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Spring Creek Baptist Church is partnering with other local churches to see Clarksville-area Christians join together to cover our city and surrounding area in prayer every moment of every day. We’re asking God to strengthen our churches, families, and neighborhoods. We’re asking God to bring many people into a relationship with him as they repent and believe in Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Below, you’ll find a prayer guide you can use to pray in concert with hundreds of other believers as we seek to petition God every minute of every day for the welfare of our area and for his glory to be proclaimed!

We Pray for Unbelievers to Be Saved
That God will make us bold witnesses of the gospel and open the eyes of the lost to salvation
(John 20:21; Acts 26:18; 2 Peter 3:9)

We Pray for Revival Among Believers
That believers will be a repenting and rejoicing people, living as loving disciples of Jesus, rejecting pride and sinful division and discord wherever it exits
(Isaiah 57:15; Psalm 40:16–17)

We Pray for Unity
That our local Bible-believing, gospel-preaching churches will lift up one another in prayer and cooperate in kingdom work as they are able, so Clarksville-area Christians will be known for their love for one another
(Psalm 133:1; John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:3–6)

We Pray for Families
That homes across our community would be safe and healthy as husbands love their wives, wives respect their husbands, and children obey their parents in the Lord
(Joshua 24:14-15; Ephesians 5:24-25, 6:1-3)

We Pray for Life to Be Valued
That God would use us to change the culture that debases the sanctity of life through abortion, euthanasia, suicide, human trafficking, racism, unbiblical sexual ethics, etc., that every life would be honored as bearing the image of God
(Genesis 1:26–27; Proverbs 24:11; Isaiah 46:3–4)

We Pray for Our Leaders
That our elected leaders (city, county, state, national) will have the wisdom and discernment to pursue a peaceful and just society (that the gospel may go out without hindrance) and that our church leaders will shepherd God’s people well
(Micah 6:8; Romans 12:9, 21; 1 Timothy 2:1-2)

The above guide is intentionally brief. We desire to have hundreds of Clarksvillians praying toward the same broad objectives with unique urgency. It is an outline you can expand as God brings specific needs to your heart and mind from these categories month-to-month. May God bless you as you join with believers all over the greater Clarksville area in seeking a movement of God in our area for our good and his glory!

Additional prayer suggestions for November:

1. Continue to pray for our local efforts to respond to the recent devastation cause by hurricanes Helene and Milton. If you would like to give toward Southern Baptists’ collective efforts to offer disaster relief, you may do so at sendrelief.org.

2. Pray for fruit to come from the fall festival and Thanksgiving outreach efforts of SCBC and other churches in and around Clarksville.

3. Pray for the discipleship and spiritual development of the three young people who recently publicly professed faith in Jesus through believer’s baptism.
